The Atelier was founded in 2002 through the creative intuition of Elena Bergnach, who sees the skirt as the epitome of female style.

Driven by her passion for arts and painting, Elena uses her decade of working in Milan’s high couture and prêt-a-porter to implement her vision of the skirt as the central element of feminine style. Her initial project expanded to include matching articles such as twin-sets, tops, bustiers and jackets that enhance and complement the skirt.

A Bergnach skirt conveys a distinct visual and emotional impact. The choice of shapes, fabrics and colors is combined with cuts and tailoring to suit each individual.
